part of The Genres I Never Thought I'd Get to Dabble In, If Not in Spirit series, Vol. 2: AOR / CCM

Sometime within the past year, I learned that there was a heavy amount of Christian AOR and yacht rock from the late '70s and early '80s. I was overwhelmed with a heavy presence of modern CCM starting after getting saved in 2022, whereby I started to notice that a lot of it was fairly indistinguishable from AOR as well. The roots in this genre that I've heard, with extended synth presence for modern times to bridge the gap of music literacy availability, where better to continue singing a new song to Him than in this new AI driven world we're starting to emerge into. This is a sum-up of my time in the CCM AOR scene, both past and present brought together at once place. Scriptures of pertinence are in the song descriptions for each individual track and are numbered below if you'd like to learn more about the basis for each song's scriptural integrity. Hope this can be a blessing to you, made to honor His holy word. Amen.
